작품 설명;

화가 정택영 작품세계의 근간을 이루는 대명제는 ‘생의 예찬, (The Admiration of life)’로 살아있는 모든 생명체에 대한 경이로움과 아름다움을 드러냄으로써 감상자들에게 생명의 경이로움과 아름다움을 잊고 사는 현대인들에게

사물을 바라보는 새로운 시각적 접근 방법을 환기시키고, 이를 통해 생명의 소중함을 일깨워 모든 이들의 삶을 소중히 여기도록 해준다. 이 작품은 한국의 정신과 얼을 표상하는 오방색을 그 기본 색으로 하여 바탕을 이루고 있으며 이는 대자연 속에서 발견하는 오색찬란함과 생명력을 느끼게 하고, 그 위에 한국적 정서와 인고의 세월을 견디며 면면히 일구어 온 한국민족의 우수성을 소나무와 학으로 상징적 오브제로 표현했다.

두 마리의 학은 상서로운 우리의 정신성과 다정다감한 한민족의 영성을 통해 한 가정의 평온함과 화목을 이루는 장면을 하나의 풍경으로 상징하여 표현하며 발랄하고 밝은 색채를 통해 현대미술의 특징과 그의 생명력을 표현하고 있는 것이다.

화가 정택영 작품세계의 근간을 이루는 대명제는 ‘생의 예찬, (The Admiration of life)’로 살아있는 모든 생명체에 대한 경이로움과 아름다움을 드러냄으로써 감상자들에게 생명의 경이로움과 아름다움을 잊고 사는 현대인들에게 사물을 바라보는 새로운 시각적 접근 방법을 환기시키고, 이를 통해 생명의 소중함을 일깨워 모든 이들의 삶을 소중히 여기도록 해준다. 이 작품은 사람들이 쉽게 지나칠 수 있는 하찮은 강변의 한 정경을 포착하여 그 속에서 생명체들이 자신들의 삶을 구가하고 있는 정겨운 장면을 표현하고 있다. 이름 모를 야생화와 서걱거리는 갈대들의 대화 그리고 강변 풀섶에 밀려온 물에 그러한 생명체들이 비취어   투영된 모습들이 발랄하고 밝은 색채를 통해 현대미술의 특징과 그의 생명력의 경이로움을 표현하고 있는 것이다.
